Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to programmerneeds.com and its directory services. By using the service or purchasing a promotion, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use or purchase the service.

Keep your account secure and provide accurate information. Submit only products and content you own or are authorized to represent. Do not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive, or harmful content, manipulate votes, or interfere with the service.

Listings, media, edits, and community contributions are subject to review. Free accounts may have three active pending or approved products and submit two new products per rolling 24 hours. Rejected and archived listings do not consume active slots. Paid promotions do not add listing slots or bypass moderation. Editing and image uploads remain free.

Listed products are provided by their respective makers. You are responsible for evaluating them and their own terms before using or purchasing them. A listing or paid placement is not an endorsement by ProgrammerNeeds.

All payments to ProgrammerNeeds are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. All sales are final. We do not offer voluntary refunds, partial refunds, cancellation credits, or unused-time credits.

This policy includes payments for promotions and any future subscriptions, including when you change your mind, stop using the service, lose a ranking position, replace an earlier payment, or have content or access suspended or removed under these terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Prices are in US dollars. Launch Boost and Homepage Spotlight are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. Stripe processes payments; a return from Checkout alone does not confirm payment or activate a placement.

You may close an unpaid checkout without purchasing. This does not cancel or refund a completed payment. External payment reversals and disputes are recorded and may suspend or revoke paid visibility. Contact us if you believe there has been a payment error.

Launch Boost costs $5 once for one approved product you own. After server-confirmed payment activation, the product is pinned above organic results on page one of This Week on both the homepage and leaderboard for seven days. Its original launch date and vote count do not affect Boost eligibility.

Search and category filters still apply, across sort options. Multiple Boosts share the promoted positions, newest activation first, then purchase ID. The same product is not repeated among organic rows on that page; organic rank numbers, scores, and pagination are preserved.

This Month, All Time, and later pages retain normal ordering. An active Boost keeps its sponsored label and orange styling only when the product qualifies naturally for those results. Boost does not change votes, add screenshots, or provide a separate sponsored section.

An active Boost or unresolved Boost checkout blocks another purchase for the same product. You may purchase again after expiry. The seven-day period continues during moderation, disputes, or other periods when a listing is hidden; it does not pause or restart when payment status is refreshed.

Choose a one-time whole-dollar payment from $1 to $10,000 for an approved product you own. Each product has one ranking amount: its latest confirmed payment. Higher amounts rank first. Equal amounts favor the earlier confirmed payment, then purchase ID.

An eligible placement is protected from being outbid for its first 30 elapsed days (720 hours) from confirmed payment. We show the top configured number of eligible products plus every eligible product still within that protection period. Extra visible rows preserve the 30-day protection; a higher payment can move above yours immediately.

After 30 days, eligibility does not expire automatically. Your product stays visible while it ranks within the configured base positions; otherwise it is hidden and may return when its ranking qualifies again. Administrators can change the base count from one to twenty, initially five. Changing this count does not shorten an otherwise eligible placement’s 30-day protection.

A new successful payment is charged in full and replaces your previous ranking amount. Payments do not accumulate, and you are not charged only the difference. During an active, valid 30-day protection period, a replacement must be strictly higher than your current amount. After protection ends, equal or lower payments are allowed and can lower your position. Each confirmed replacement starts a fresh 30-day period.

Unresolved payments must be closed or reconciled before starting another checkout for the same product. Pending, failed, and canceled payments do not replace a confirmed amount. Refreshing payment status does not start a new protection period.

Only approved products owned by the purchaser qualify. Pending, rejected, archived, and deleted products are hidden. Moderation and disputes do not pause or extend the clock. Reapproval or a resolved dispute may restore eligibility; reversing the latest payment does not restore an older replaced payment. Partial reversals are recorded for administrator review.

Administrators reserve the right to review, reject, edit, suspend, or remove listings and contributions, restrict accounts, and suspend or cancel paid promotions. This includes violations of these terms, misleading or unsafe content, suspected fraud, payment disputes or reversals, security concerns, legal requirements, or discontinuation of a service.

Payment does not purchase immunity from moderation or guarantee continued access when these terms are breached. Visibility protection does not prevent removal for these reasons. Paid periods continue while content is hidden, and our no-refund policy applies subject to mandatory legal rights. You may contact support to request a review of a decision.

Administrators also reserve the right to suspend or cancel any subscription if subscriptions are introduced. Cancellation will stop future renewal charges; any remaining access and notice will follow the subscription terms disclosed at launch and applicable law. Cancellation does not refund prior payments except where legally required.

Pro Visibility at $9 per month is a planned offer marked Coming Soon. It is not currently available for purchase. Its price and benefits may change before launch. Purchasing Boost or Spotlight does not create a subscription or unlock planned Pro benefits.

If subscriptions launch, their billing, renewal, customer cancellation, and access terms will be presented before purchase. No recurring charge is authorized by buying a current one-time promotion.

Paid placements are labeled Sponsored. They provide the placement described here, not a promise of clicks, impressions, signups, sales, a fixed ranking position, or business results. Community votes and organic ranking remain independent of payments.

We work to keep the directory available, but maintenance, technical issues, and third-party interruptions can affect access. We do not promise uninterrupted service. These terms do not exclude liability or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms as the service changes and will update the date on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. The purchase terms accepted when a payment is made govern that purchase; later changes do not retroactively remove an existing paid commitment except as permitted by those terms and applicable law.
