See every device on your network in plain English, and catch exposed services before they bite. Native macOS, no cloud
Netfox is a native macOS network monitor that turns raw network data into plain English. Your router shows "ESP-8A2F · 192.168.1.40". Netfox tells you it's an Espressif gadget running a lighttpd web server on port 80. What it does: - Devices: Bonjour, ARP, SSDP and active ping run together and merge into one row per physical device, with vendor, identity, open services and a full history (first seen, last seen, every IP or hostname change). - Security: one-click Scan All checks every reachable device against the ports that matter at home: remote access, file sharing, databases, smart-home control. It also catches the dev server or Postgres you accidentally left open to the LAN. Every finding is explained in plain English. It uses plain TCP, needs no root, and never probes anything outside your network. - Wi-Fi: every network in range with its security, channel, band and a live signal chart. It tells you when a known network is stronger where you are. - Alerts: new device, a device returning after a long absence, risky arrival, port opened, new service. You get an inbox, a persistent log and per-device mute. - Menu bar: devices online, risk level, public IP, VPN and active alerts at a glance. Built 100% in SwiftUI. Universal binary (Apple Silicon and Intel), signed and notarized, available in 7 languages. No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Your data stays on your Mac. Demo Mode masks names, MACs and SSIDs so screenshots are safe to share. Free for macOS 15.6+.
