Many K–8 students struggle to stay engaged during reading practice, while educators often lack a clear view of what is happening while a student reads—not just whether they finished an assignment. Traditional reading activities can separate motivation, fluency practice, comprehension, and assessment into different experiences. ReadReveal brings those pieces together. Students read aloud, type, or follow along while a story illustration progressively reveals as they move through the text. This Progressive Reveal approach turns reading into a discovery experience, giving students an immediate visual reason to keep going while encouraging them to work through the text at their own pace. At the same time, ReadReveal captures meaningful learning data from each session. Educators can track reading accuracy, rate, expression/prosody, comprehension, reading time, and progress over time through a centralized dashboard. Students can choose from 200+ leveled passages or work with books, worksheets, and other texts uploaded by their teacher, tutor, or family. ReadReveal is designed for K–8 students and the teachers, tutors, schools, and families who support them. What makes the approach useful is that engagement and assessment happen within the same reading experience: students see their progress through the reveal, while educators see the data behind that progress and can use it to better understand each reader’s strengths and needs.
