Typally

Typing long prompts, PR descriptions and Slack replies all day is slow. Typally lets you say them instead. Hold a shortcut, speak naturally, let go, and clean, punctuated text is typed wherever your cursor is: your IDE, terminal, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub, Slack, email or any other app. Filler words like "um" and "uh" are removed and punctuation is added automatically. Speaking is about 3× faster than typing, so a 200-word prompt takes seconds instead of minutes. I built it because the voice input in my AI coding tools kept cutting me off after a minute, right in the middle of explaining what I wanted. Now I dictate almost everything, and I've spoken over 400,000 words into it. What else it does: • Push-to-talk or hands-free mode, with your own shortcuts • Works in dozens of languages • An English coach that scores your speaking and counts filler words, useful if you work in English as a second language • Meeting notes with speaker labels, summaries and action items (Pro) • Insights on your words, talk time and speed Privacy: audio is transcribed and then discarded. Your transcripts stay on your computer. Free plan with 100 minutes a month, no card. Pro is $11.99/month with a 14-day free trial.
